Melanie Gallardo Glencoe High School Student of the Month

Congratulations to Melanie Gallardo, Hillsboro Rotary Club Student of the Month from Glencoe High School. The Rotary celebrated her achievement this week, along with her parents, Fernando and Elida, her friend Edwin, and Glencoe business and marketing teacher Abraham Diaz. Although Melanie excels at business and marketing, she admitted that she actually prefers accounting. After graduation she plans to work full time and attend PCC for two years. She will then continue her education at Portland State or Western Oregon and pursue an accounting degree, with a minor in financial analytics. Melanie is grateful to all those who have encouraged her to find a career path that allows her to spend her days doing something she enjoys AND is good at, and not to stay on a path just because it's something she does well. We are delighted that Melanie has found a subject she truly enjoys, and wish her all the best as she continues her newfound passion!
