Kellen Jansen Freeman Glencoe High School Rotary Student of the Month

Congratulations to Kellen Jansen Freeman from Glencoe High School who is Hillsboro Rotary Club Student of the Month. Kellen celebrated his award with a room full of supporters, including his parents, Kim Jansen and Jared Freeman, his grandmother Barb Jansen, and Glencoe Activities Director Tom Stephens. Kellen is an active student both in and out of the classroom. He currently serves as ASB president, and works to build community and make sure students feel heard and supported. He has been part of the Schnitzer Cares committee all four years at Glencoe, which is dedicating resources to immigrant families this year. Glencoe's Annual Canned Food and Toy Drive is coming up next month, and they hope to reach over 400 students this year. If you'd like to donate, you can reach out to Kellen, or Mr. Stephens, and they'll point you in the right direction. After high school, Kellen plans to attend college, majoring in political science. From there, he'd like to go on to law school and become a civil rights attorney and advocate for justice. We're looking forward to seeing where Kellen's ventures take him, and wish him all the best in his pursuit of justice and service!
