Glencoe Unified Golf Team Sweeps Gold at TopGolf Tournament

The Glencoe Unified Golf Team dominated at TopGolf on May 18, claiming gold medals in all categories—doubles and singles—despite challenging windy conditions with gusts up to 20 mph.

Brother-and-sister duo Eddie and Carrie Lovell led with exceptional teamwork, securing the top spot in doubles. Teammates Diego Sanchez and Bennett Nguyen followed suit, earning another gold in doubles with a standout performance. In singles, junior Tula Haupt clinched the gold, completing the team’s sweep.

Second-year head coach William Johnson and assistant coach Yvette Palmer were thrilled with the team’s resilience and skill. “They exceeded every expectation today,” Johnson said.

With the entire championship team returning next year, Glencoe is set for more victories in 2026.
