Featured Event: Beaverton-Hillsboro STEM Expo

Twenty-four HSD students participated in the Beaverton-Hillsboro STEM Expo on Tuesday, March 3. The STEM Expo is an annual event hosted by the Hillsboro and Beaverton School Districts that gives high school students the opportunity to showcase their research and innovation in a science fair setting. Students compete for scholarships and cash prizes, as well as the opportunity to advance to higher levels of competition. Liberty High School senior Matthew Hui’s project - Designing a Competitive Point System for Among Us: Using Game Theory, Data Tracking, and Simulation to Rank Player Performance in Tournaments - won the finalist round and advances him to the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, which will be held in Phoenix, Arizona, this May. Evento destacado: Feria de STEM de Beaverton-Hillsboro
Veinticuatro estudiantes de HSD participaron en la Feria STEM de Beaverton-Hillsboro el martes 3 de marzo. La Feria STEM es un evento anual organizado por los distritos escolares de Hillsboro y Beaverton que brinda a los estudiantes de preparatoria la oportunidad de presentar sus proyectos de investigación e innovación en un entorno similar a una feria de ciencias. Los estudiantes compiten por becas y premios en efectivo, así como por la oportunidad de avanzar a niveles superiores de competencia. El proyecto del estudiante Matthew Hui del grado 12 de la Escuela Preparatoria Liberty, Diseño de un sistema de puntuación competitivo para Among Us: uso de la teoría de juegos, el seguimiento de datos y la simulación para clasificar el rendimiento de los jugadores en torneos; ganó la ronda final y le permite avanzar a la Feria Internacional de Ciencia e Ingeniería Regeneron, que se llevará a cabo en Phoenix, Arizona, este mes de mayo. ¡Felicitaciones a Matthew y a todos los estudiantes que representaron al distrito en la feria de este año! ¡Nos hacen sentir orgullosos de ser HSD! Desplázate hacia abajo para ver las fotos...
